On Hiatus

I’m sorry to say that I don’t have the time to keep updating this tumbelog.
I’m putting this on hiatus, hoping to find a way to return to it someday.
If someone is interested in taking it over, please contact me.

Anyways, my main blog is still active: head over to jasonfweb.com to check it out!

RSS or Twitter?

Alright, I know they’re different things and that they’re purpose is not the same.

I never used RSS before, and I’ve been using Twitter to keep up with my favourite blogs.

But, as you probably have heard, an Swiss-Italian friend named Silvio Rizzi has released the Mac beta version of one of the most acclaimed iPhone apps:Reeder.

Since it’s a RSS-reader software and me being a so-called tech&web-enthusiast wanting to try it, I activated a Google Reader account, subscribed to some feeds and downloaded the beta.

Reeder is really a nice piece of work (I don’t like the right part of the top bar tough, it’s kinda out of reach, and it would be nice to auto-read feed items by scrolling, like NetNewsWire), and I think I’ll try to stick with it for a while, instead of using Twitter.

I am now battled between the two services: I can get news from both Tweetie and Reeder, and it doesn’t feel right to have them duplicated. Should I use Twitter only for engaging conversations with other fellow bloggers and readers, thus only following actual-people? I have to think about it.
